Rachel teaches Clinical Pilates at HelloPhysio located at Royal Square Medical Centre using mixed Pilates and gym equipment. On a group basis, Rachel teaches both reformer and matwork Pilates. She has taught in various studios including Breathe Pilates, Virgin Active, Upside Motion and The Pilates Place.
As a sportsperson, Rachel understands pain from all her past sports injuries. To correct her postural issues, she first started practising Pilates in 2014. Later, Pilates also helped her in post-surgery rehabilitation.
Rachel enjoys working with each of her clients in their journey to becoming fitter, stronger and healthier. For clients in physical pain, Rachel is passionate about helping them understand how mindful movement of our bodies can help in pain management. She works with her clients towards recovery and improving their clinical outcomes, on a one-on-one basis using mixed equipment.
She has also worked with the elderly population, particularly with her family members who had sustained compression fractures and hip replacement. At the start of Singapore's Covid lockdown, she started PILATES GIVES, a fundraiser through Pilates, in support of the nurses and elderly in our communities with 100% donations to Home Nursing Foundation.
Rachel has pivoted from an Asia Pacific role in strategic content development and marketing across real estate, advanced technology, government and financial sectors, to teaching Pilates. At the peak of her corporate career, she was head of the region for her department covering 15 markets; a conference speaker; a judge for the industry's award; media spokesperson trainer; a panel facilitator curating topics of interest that competitors had yet to have a voice in; and an avid writer - which is still very much something she continues working on these days.
